Kevin Brewster
Kevin Brewster is a saxophonist, composer, bandleader, and educator from Grand Rapids, Michigan. As a leader, he performs with his ensemble Black Renaissance, a collective dedicated to expanding the narrative of Black American Music through original compositions and new interpretations. As a sideman, Kevin has performed alongside artists such as Terri Lyne Carrington, Christian Sands, Jazzmeia Horn, and Patrice Rushen. He is a recent graduate of Michigan State University and pursuing his masters as a recipient of the Graduate Jazz Fellowship at John Hopkins Peabody Conservatory under the mentorship of Sean Jones and Tim Green.
